Man charged with committing 1996 armed robbery

A Corkman aged 43 was arrested at Cork Airport and charged with carrying out an armed robbery almost 19 years ago at Bandon Rd post office.

Detective Garda Padraig Harrington arrested Christopher Keohane, formerly of The Crescent, Curraheen Estate, Wilton, Cork, at the airport last Thursday afternoon, September 24.

“I arrested him and conveyed him to the Bridewell,” the detective said.
