The Supreme Court has today rejected the final leave to appeal over the result of the Marriage Equality referendum. Earlier, the Government published the Marriage Bill 2015, paving the way for same-sex marriage.

A man has died in hospital following an alleged assault in Cork city last week. It happened on Lower Oliver Plunkett Street at around 2pm on Thursday, September 10.

Workers at Irish Water should receive increments ranging from 1.5% to 3% annually, as part of an interim arrangement until 2017. That is according to proposals recommended by the Labour Relations Commission.

The father of a baby girl who died shortly after birth in Limerick six years ago says he and his wife have now been told they cannot have any more children. A verdict of medical misadventure was recorded in court yesterday at the inquest into the death of Caoimhe Mulcair, who passed away in 2009 at the then Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
