Board game adds up to success for Irish maths teacher

It’s all about making it count — and a national school teacher is doing just that with her new maths board game, which hits the shelves of major toys stores today.

Angela McCarthy developed Chase Across the Square to help children learn maths and recall number facts in a fun way.

The Waterford native developed the concept two years ago while teaching children maths and found that they responded positively to the game.
