Road victim had just become a dad

A young man killed in an early-morning car crash in Co Donegal yesterday had only recently become a father again for the second time.

Jonathan Doherty was killed when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a ditch at Termon on the N56 at around 7am.

The 25 year old was killed instantly and his passenger was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital but is not understood to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
