Chat-show host Graham Norton makes it to 14 on rich list

The presenter, who recharges his batteries at his west Cork bolthole every summer, is 14 on the list of top 50 richest people on TV, with an estimated fortune of €14m.
The list is topped by talent-show impresario Cowell, who is worth half a billion euros, according to Now magazine’s TV rich list for 2015. Chef Oliver is second, after amassing a quarter of a billion euro, thanks to his chain of restaurants, which turned over €140m last year.
Reality star, Katie Price, is the only woman in the top 10, with a reported €63m in her bank account, thanks to reality shows, magazine deals and promotional deals.
Now says that Cork star Norton accumulated his wealth thanks to having sold off his hugely successful production company, So Television, a few years ago and thanks to his pay cheques for his BBC chat show and radio show. The 52-year-old has been holidaying in his waterfront home near the village of Ahakista, Co Cork, and has been tweeting about the beauty of his hometown.

The comedian, who has a million followers on Twitter, posted a tongue-in-cheek picture of a telegraph pole in Bantry, in Co Cork, with a scarf wrapped around it. “For the person who has everything part two. May I present the telegraph pole scarf. #bantry #crafts#dragonsden”, he tweeted.
The chat-show host also posted a picture of himself hosting the annual quiz night in Ahakista.
Irish broadcaster, Eamonn Holmes, also made the rich list, with a €15m fortune, thanks to decades as one of Britain’s favourite TV anchors. Norton’s fellow chat-show hosts, Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr, also made the rich list, with the ITV veteran making No. 9 on the list, while the Chatty Man presenter was No. 36.
