‘Facebook escape artist’ back in court

‘Facebook escape artist’ Jason Freyne will be behind bars until 2016 after a judge yesterday imposed a four month jail term on him for his role in a 160kmph Garda motorway chase.

At Ennis District Court, Judge Patrick Durcan imposed the four-month sentence on Freyne, aged 22, that will run consecutive to a three-month jail term imposed on the Limerick man on Wednesday.

At yesterday’s hearing, the prison service was taking no chances with Freyne who escaped from custody when he ran out the backdoor of Ennis courthouse on his previous court appearance on July 16.
