A volunteer emergency medical group says a powerful new top-of-the-range, powerful vehicle will help it save more lives in the community.

‘Mobile A&E’ for East Cork rapid response group

East Cork Rapid Response (ECRR) — which works closely with the HSE’s National Ambulance Service to respond quickly to life-threatening incidents — took delivery last night of a brand new Volvo XC70.

The 240BHP twin turbo automatic diesel, which has been kitted out with a range of medical equipment, will allow ECRR’s volunteer doctor, Hugh Doran, and advanced paramedics like Paul Traynor, to bring emergency pre-hospital care to accident victims faster.
