The girlfriend of an Englishman who has sued claiming he suffered life-changing injuries when he fell out of a hotel window in Kinsale yesterday told the High Court it was not true to say that on the night she and Jason Platt were arguing and that he threatened to jump.

“That is not true,” Christine McKenna said under cross examination about the events at the Old Bank House hotel in Kinsale on a Valentine’s weekend break in 2009.

She was told that a duty manager on the night will say that when he got to the third floor hotel room, the door had been kicked in and Ms McKenna said she and Mr Platt had been arguing; he threatened to jump out the window and jumped.
