Junior Cert student and family live in a car

A 15-year-old Killarney student has no place to live and yesterday went in to her Junior Cert geography exam knowing her family, including her nine-year-old brother and 20-month-old baby sister, had no more money for food.

Two weeks ago, the family of five were hospitalised following a suspected gas poisoning at the house they were renting in a village in mid-Kerry.

The three children and their parents were taken by ambulance to Kerry General Hosptial. The HSE has advised them not to return to the house.
