8 Garda cars, chopper chase stolen vehicle

Eight Garda cars and a Garda helicopter were involved in a high-speed pursuit of a stolen jeep in south Dublin early yesterday.

The Hyundai Santa-Fe was taken from a house in the Tallaght area between 5.30am and 6am. The owners raised the alarm and gardaí from the local station were dispatched.

They spotted a vehicle fitting the description being driven away from the area and followed it.
