Cork schools in search of sports stars

Two Cork schools have signed separate deals with sports groups to produce the next generation of rowing and soccer stars.

Christian Brothers College and Cork Boat Club have signed a joint memorandum of understanding to formalise their long-standing relationship.

It follows the recent decision by the school’s board of management to invest in rowing boats and equipment, and will see the school working more closely with Cork Boat Club to take advantage of its excellent coaching and training facilities.
