Date set for US trial of Irish nanny accused of murder

The trial of Aisling Brady McCarthy, the Irish nanny accused of murdering a baby, will take place in October, it emerged following a hearing yesterday.

Ms Brady McCarthy is on bail following her release from jail earlier this month, where she had been held for more than two years since her arrest following the death of one-year-old Rehma Sabir.

She appeared in Middlesex Superior Court yesterdaywearing a long skirt that covered an electronic ankle bracelet, with one of her sisters and husband Don McCarthy.
