Acts to strut their stuff at Cork midsummer festival

Around 40,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Cork Midsummer Festival, which will feature music, dance, circus, theatre, opera and visual art as well as an extensive family programme.

Held over two weekends, June 12-14 and June 19-21, the festival will feature 43 events and 95 performances at 25 venues.

Festival curator Kath Gorman said that offerings include a great outdoors and free events programme, with performances in both familiar and unusual locations, with something to suit every creative taste and budget.
