Independent TD Catherine Murphy is preparing to mount a motion in the Dáil next week to force Finance Minister Michael Noonan to address claims that he withheld details about the sale of Siteserv.

Mr Noonan will also be asked to address emerging contradictions over whether the former secretary general of his department, John Moran, discussed Siteserv at a meeting with IBRC chief executive Mike Aynsley in August 2012.

The controversy saw Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin yesterday allege that Mr Noonan had withheld details from the Dáil.
