Kevin Bulman of 61 Penrose Course, Waterford, was arraigned on a number of charges at Cork Circuit Criminal Court and he pleaded guilty to all of them.

One of the books of evidence related to an incident in Youghal three days before Christmas 2014.

He admitted that on December 22, 2014, at 78 Blackwater Heights in Youghal, he threatened to injure Tommy Bulman with a syringe.

The charge specifies that he would be injected and caused to get a disease.

The particulars of the charge state that he threatened Tommy Bulman by holding a syringe to his neck and asking him, “Do you want Hepatitis C?”

In respect of two other charges on that indictment, he also pleaded guilty. Those charges were of causing criminal damage to his house and his car.

In a second indictment related to another incident involving other parties in Youghal in June 2014, he admitted threatening to kill two women.

The counts to which he pleaded guilty on that indictment were of threatening to kill Kim Bray and Michelle Keohane at a house in Yew Wood, Cork Hill, Youghal, on June 25 last.

He also admitted that in the course of making these threats, he produced a knife and an iron bar.

He pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to internal walls, doors, and windows of the house on the same occasion.

Peter O’Flynn, defending, asked for sentencing to be a adjourned in both cases.

Judge Seán Ó Donnabháin remanded the accused in custody for sentencing on Friday in both cases.

Gardaí will give evidence on that occasion on the background to both incidents.
