All the fun of the fair to raise funds for Darragh

A family fun-day fundraiser will take place next month to help fund round-the-clock care for a popular boy with complex medical needs.

All the fun of the fair to raise funds for Darragh

Darragh Guinevan, aged seven, from Ovens in Co Cork, has a severe intellectual and physical developmental disability and is totally dependent on his family, nurses and carers.

Darragh can suffer up to 20 epileptic seizures every and requires round-the-clock care to administer medication, nebulisers, tube feeding and chest physio.

Darragh’s Trust, which was set up last year to fund- raise for his care, has now joined forces with Active Leisure Entertainment in Ballincollig to raise money for his home-care programme.

The fun-day event will feature bungee trampolines, train rides, rock-climbing walls, carousel rides, bouncing castles, face painting, a barbecue and food stalls.

It will also feature the first Team of The Year 2015 Challenge, which will pit four local teams from various clubs against each other in a series of fun challenges.

Tickets for the event, which takes place from 2-5pm in Ballincollig Rugby Club on Sunday, April 26, cost €20 per family (two adults and up to three children), which will cover all the rides and entertainment.

Tickets can be bought on the day, or in advance by contacting 087-2795848.
