Guilty plea to possession of replica gun and bullets

Armed gardaí rushed to a housing estate in Douglas, Cork, where residents reported hearing gunshots.

Inspector Bill Duane said yesterday at Cork District Court the incident occurred at Glencurrig estate, South Douglas Rd, on September 27, 2014.

Gardaí were alerted to the fact that what sounded like gunshots had been heard in the area at around 10pm.
