The wife of retired solicitor Brian O’Donnell, Mary Patricia O’Donnell, has told a court she was “perfectly happy” her husband was appealing an order they leave their former family home.

Wife ‘perfectly happy’ with appeal

Dr O’Donnell appeared before the Court of Appeal yesterday, which is hearing an appeal by the couple against a High Court order that they vacate the house at Gorse Hill, Vico Rd, Co Dublin.

At the start of the hearing, presiding judge Ms Justice Mary Finlay Geoghegan told Mr O’Donnell the court had to hear from his wife that she adopted the same position as him. “The days have gone of relying on the husband to say that is what his wife wants,” said Ms Justice Finlay Geoghegan.
