Jury deliberates on cyclist’s death

Jury members in a fatal hit-and-run trial have been told by a judge to treat the case in a cold and clinical way as they consider the evidence.

In his charge to the jury, at the Circuit Criminal Court in Tralee yesterday, Judge Thomas E O’Donnell said the jury must be satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Shane Fitzgerald was driving the vehicle.
