My gay dads are great, says Safia, 15

Colm O’Gorman’s daughter, Safia, gets upset and very angry when she hears people talk about how her family is not “ideal”.

The teenager wants people to know that her dads — two married gay men — are like any other good parents.

“They want me to be happy; they’re strict, but only because they want the best for me. But, most importantly, they really, really love me,” she wrote.
