Rugby legend Ronan O’Gara has warned young sporting hopefuls — don’t live out your parents’ dreams.

The Munster and Ireland star fears that star-struck teenagers may never recover from pinning all their hopes and dreams of lining out in Croke Park or the Aviva Stadium.

He told yesterday’s Irish Examiner Rog and Ruby Breakfast: “Good parenting is crucial. And there has to be a plan B. If you put your eggs in one basket, the level of disappointment can be absolutely crushing to your personality, to everything.
