Woman, 19, drank ‘frightening mixture of alcohol’

A woman who assaulted a man with an umbrella while drunk on a “frightening mixture” of alcohol has been given an 18-month suspended sentence.

Nina Lee, aged 19, from Hardwick Street, Dublin pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm on Lord Edward St on August 2, 2013.

Garda Paraic Keogh said Lee was too drunk to give a statement. He waited five hours to interview her after having her medically examined.
