Family man Jamie Dornan tops fame charts

Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan has revealed his wife always goes everywhere with him.

And Belfast-born star also said he is completely smitten with his 14-month-old daughter Dulcie, who was born in Canada just weeks into shooting the film adaptation of one of the biggest- selling books of all time.

The 32-year-old actor, who plays Christian Grey in the bondage blockbuster, opened up about his deep love for his family when he spoke directly to Fifty Shades of Grey fans on Twitter this weekend.

Dornan gave fans an insight into his family life with singer-songwriter Amelia Warner and their daughter, who was born in November 2013.

When asked what makes him happiest, he replied: “Tequila and my family.”

He went on to reveal the last photo he took was “a photo of my daughter, I take about a thousand a day”.

And he declared his devotion to his wife, who flew to Canada with him in late 2013 while heavily pregnant when he was given a late call to take up the role of a lifetime.

“What is one thing you can’t leave without that you always take with you?” asked a fan. “My wife,” he replied.

The actor, who once dated Keira Knightley, married his long-time love Amelia Warner in April 2013 in a romantic ceremony in Somerset before embarking on a five-week honeymoon across America.

The Irish actor also told his worldwide fanbase “the people and the Guinness” were his favourite things about Ireland.

While he admitted his first day on set was “mildly terrifying”, he said he was very excited about the release “because I know you’ve all been waiting a really long time”.

He also said the abundant sushi was his favourite part of filming in Vancouver, while Christian Grey’s glider was his favourite of the millionaire’s expensive toys.

He also told fans his childhood ambition was a world away from his current status as one of the hottest movie stars.

When asked what he wanted to be as a kid, he replied: “A park ranger. I love green space.”

And out of all those moments captured for the cameras, Dornan admitted it was actually the negotiation scene in Fifty Shades of Grey that was his favourite to film.

Director Sam Taylor-Johnson hinted last week that there would be a sequel to the movie, but the studio has yet to make an official announcement.

Meanwhile, Dornan’s star is literally soaring in Hollywood, with the former Calvin Klein supermodel topping the Internet Movie Database’s Starmeter rankings for actors around the world, which gives an up-to-the- minute marker of celebrity popularity.

Dornan has held the top spot on the fame chart in the past week, which makes him the most searched-for star on the website www.imdb.com, which clocks 190m users every month.

He is ahead of established Hollywood heartthrobs such as Brad Pitt, Leonardo di Caprio and George Clooney in the rankings.
