With a one-in-five infertility rate, more Irish couples are turning to in-vitro fertilisation (IVF).

New fertility clinic expects to see 400 couples this year

Sims IVF, a leading fertility clinic set up in Dublin in 1997, recently opened its first Cork facility, and expects to treat up to 400 couples there this year.

The clinic has invested €3m in the expansion, which is expected to create 20 jobs — an initial eight jobs now, with additional recruitment in the coming months.
