Couple on order breach charges

A husband and wife were both arrested and brought to Cork District Court yesterday charged with breaching each other’s protection order.

Liam Cummins, 52, was charged with breaching the protection order against him by following his wife around the kitchen in an intimidating manner and grinding his teeth at her to put her in fear.

Susan Cummins, 45, was charged with breaching the protection order against her husband by putting him in fear by spitting into his face twice.

Both alleged incidents occurred on Thursday, January 29, at the family home at Elm Lodge, Monard, Rathpeacon, Co Cork.

Judge Leo Malone remanded both accused on bail to Cork District Court until Tuesday.

According to the charge sheets, Liam Cummins obtained a protection order against his wife on January 12, and Susan Cummins obtained a protection order against her husband on January 13.
