Gerry Adams urges Taoiseach to re-examine bailout debts

Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s rejection of an EU debt conference has drawn fire from opposition parties.

Mr Kenny refused to endorse the notion of re-examining bailout debts at a European level after the proposal became a major issue in this Sunday’s Greek election.

Victory for the anti-austerity party Syriza could plunge the eurozone into a fresh crisis, but the Taoiseach said that he was not interested in engaging in fresh debt talks.
