Breaking Bad star ‘falls in love’ with Emerald Isle
The actor, who played Jesse Pinkman on the hit AMC show, spent the last week on our Emerald Isle, posting about his many adventures on social media.
The three-time Emmy Award-winner even found time to see a play at the Olympia — The Walworth Farce starring Brendan Gleeson and his sons Domhnall and Brian.
Aaron praised the acting of the Gleeson clan and encouraged everyone in Ireland to go see it.
“The writing, directing and of course every single performance in this play blew me away. Hands down one of the most amazing things that I have ever witnessed,” he said.
“The Gleeson boys have something magical running through their veins and are sharing it with all of us on stage at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. If you are in Ireland over the next month this is the number 1 thing you should do. Thank you to all for this incredible production.”
Aaron had such a great time here he said he’d love to come back and film a movie, because “any excuse to come to Ireland is a good one”.
As it turns out, Aaron’s love for Ireland was returned tenfold — embarking on a bit of a pub crawl, the star shared pints with awe-struck fans in Dublin pubs O’Donoghue’s, The Dean, Dicey’s, and 37 Dawdon St.
He also spent the night in Castle Bellingham in Louth, taking photos with the owner Mitzie Corscadden and rolling around on the floor with an Irish wolfhound and visited Bective Abbey in Co Meath to take photos with his friends.
But Aaron’s visit wasn’t entirely recreational. The 35-year-old was in Ireland as an ambassador for Budweiser’s Dream Job — a competition with a prize of €50,000 for one Irish man or woman to kick start their dream career.
“Who doesn’t have a dream? Or a dream job? Budweiser is offering this up on a platter. Why wouldn’t you want to jump at it?” asked Aaron. “Anything is possible if you believe it is and if you believe in yourself.”
Entrants have to tell the judges about their dream job and the chosen finalist will then create a short film with Budweiser. The public will decide the overall winner, announced by Aaron himself.
