Nurses protested against “appalling overcrowding” in the country’s hospitals outside the Dáil yesterday.

The protest was organised by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) and was attended by around 150 nurse representatives from all over the country.

INMO general secretary, Liam Doran, said the protest was to make politicians more aware of what the health service needed to end overcrowding.
