Cork City tops table for housing offers refused

Figures compiled by the Irish Examiner show Cork City Council had 243 refusals of housing offers last year, with nine applicants refusing more than once.

The local authority said the main reasons for the turning down of offers was the applicant no longer wishing to be considered for the area they had specified and changing the area of preference, as well as a desire for larger accommodation.
