Rosy, 12, dies happy following band’s message

The father of a 12-year-old girl who lost her battle with cancer this week has said his daughter died happy after receiving a message from her favourite band.

Rosy Ibotson, from Rossmore in West Cork, had a rare condition called Li Fraumeni syndrome, which predisposes its sufferers to various forms of cancer.

At 18 months old, Rosy was diagnosed with a bladder tumour which was successfully treated after intense chemotherapy.
