Garda stripped and asked me for sex, says witness

Marie Farrell told a High Court jury that Det Garda Jim Fitzgerald stripped naked and asked her for sex while she was looking after a house in West Cork.

“I told him to get the fuck out,” she said.

The shopkeeper was being cross-examined on the 17th day of journalist Ian Bailey’s action against the Garda Commissioner and the State over the investigation into the 1996 murder in West Cork of French filmmaker Sophie Toscan du Plantier.
