They came from all corners of Ireland yesterday to bid a fond farewell to a giant of a man and of Irish sport – the ‘king of the road’ Mick Barry.

Hundreds of mourners, who packed in to the SMA Church in Wilton, Cork for the funeral Mass for the great road bowler who died last weekend aged 95, were told that his legendary exploits will be spoken of through the ages.
