Hero Angela to be named Cork person of the month
The news came last night as retired shopkeepers Noreen, 82, and Eileen Naughton, 92, continued a slow but steady recovery in Cork University Hospital (CUH) from their ordeal at home on Blarney Street in the city at the weekend.
A double tragedy was averted when their neighbour Angela Marshall, who calls to them regularly, raised the alarm when she got no reply to her knock on their door on Saturday morning.
