Mum facing €13k funeral bill after murder-suicide pleads for donations

The mother who lost three sons in a tragic murder-suicide in Co Cork in September has issued an emotional appeal for help as her family faces a €13,000 funeral bill.

Helen O’Driscoll pleaded to anyone who can assist to consider donating a few euro to a fund which has been set up in her local bank to help them meet the costs of the triple funeral.

“I would appeal to peoples’ better nature, if people are able, to maybe donate a euro or two to help us through this,” she said. “The bill was ready a few days after the funerals but I’m only getting around to it now. People asked at the time how they could help us and the family and they didn’t know how. But now, this is a way they could help.”
