Shoe print found on man’s face after attack in pub

The imprint of a shoe or a boot was found on the face of a man whose head was stamped on in the smoking area of a city centre pub in a violent attack.

Det Garda Cormac Crotty said the medical report on the victim referred to the shoe or boot print on the side of his face that was visible in hospital.

Det Garda Crotty said a number of people kicked the victim in the head, but the defendant was seen by two witnesses stamping on the victim’s head.
