Investigation into retailer mislabelling mushrooms

The Department of Agriculture has confirmed that it has investigated the mislabelling of mushrooms by a Dublin retailer.

Fallon & Byrne on Dublin’s Exchequer Street has already apologised to a Limerick-based producer for labelling mushrooms that they did not supply with their brand name.

Last Sunday, Ballyhoura Mushrooms tweeted that it had recently started supplying Fallon & Byrne, but that it had not received an order from the store last week.
