Jennifer turns the air blue on ‘Strictly’ over dance moves

The Mrs Brown’s Boys actress squirmed as she watched an expletive-filled blooper reel from the training room, on the hit show’s follow-up slot, It Takes Two.

Presenter Zoe Ball told the actress: “The Irish always have the gift of the gab but we’ve just got to have a quick look at your training room footage because Jennifer, your language is so colourful, it’s brilliant.”

Her professional dance partner, Wicklow-born Tristan MacManus, 31, revealed that the perfectionist comedy actress got annoyed with herself when she fluffed her steps. “Jennifer gets very frustrated with herself, which is kinda funny,” he said.

Looking slim and elegant in a white jumper and skinny jeans, the actress, 50, has also had a Strictly makeover with her hair restyled in a flattering layered look.

Meanwhile, she is currently juggling a hectic work schedule with rehearsals coinciding for both Mrs Brown’s Boys and Strictly.

“It’s mind-blowing. It’s just, you know, one rehearsal room is Mrs Brown’s Boys and another rehearsal room is for Strictly. Maybe the two will end up mixing...so I’ll end up dancing on Mrs Brown and just talking as Cathy on Strictly,” she laughed.

Fans are now looking forward to seeing her dance the waltz tonight to the Aretha Franklin classic hit, ‘Natural Woman’.

“It’s beautiful. I just love the song, I love the dance and I just really hope I can do justice to it because there is a lovely feeling about the song so I’m really looking forward to it,” she said.

Meanwhile, the comedienne has been enjoying huge support on social media with her Twitter followers growing in number to more than 9,000 in two weeks.
