Forty-six death threats were made to women directly supported by Women’s Aid in 2013.

Their figures show that 33 pregnant women were assaulted by current or former partners. The domestic violence support agency said the number of physical assaults on the 327 women it supports was “worryingly high,” with 261 crimes.

This included 22 cases where women were assaulted with weapons. And, of the 33 pregnant women assaulted, a number suffered miscarriages as a result.
