Filan home once valued at €10m nets €800k

Shane Filan’s home in Sligo, built for €3m and reported to have been once valued at €10m, has sold for over €800,000.

The “sold” notice across the auctioneer’s sign has gone up on the stone wall outside the house — Castledale, at Carraroe on the edge of Sligo town.

The house, built in 2004, was sold for below the €1m the receiver was originally seeking.
