The chief executive of ALONE, Sean Moynihan, said elderly tenants were being moved out of properties taken over by receivers and were struggling to find alternative lodgings in the private rental sector as they were not seen as “attractive tenants”.

The latest ALONE newsletter outlined how “an increasing issue facing our Community Response team is the eviction of older people from their homes”.
