The residence of the Bishop of Kerry, Ray Browne, is the latest to be targeted by thieves in a string of recent burglaries around Co Kerry.

Thieves target bishop’s house

The Bishop’s House, close to St Mary’s Cathedral, in Killarney, was ransacked late on Sunday night or Monday morning. Drawers were pulled out and some doors were damaged. It is believed Bishop Browne was not at home at the time.

The adjacent Presentation Convent was also burgled at around the same time, believed to be between midnight and 1am, after a window was forced open. Nothing was taken in either incident.
