Cork-born Twitter executive to address tech conference

An Irish woman who has risen to the top echelons of Twitter’s global executive ranks will address a special tech conference in Cork next month.

Cork-born Sinead McSweeney, the online social network’s director of public policy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will speak at the September Women in Tech event organised by it@cork European Tech Cluster in association with Cork City Council.

Ms McSweeney will discuss her role at the global social media company, and her career path, which has included roles such as director of communications for An Garda Síochána, and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
