Boy accused of stealing baby food gets bail

A 14-year-old Dublin boy charged with stealing baby food and nappies during alleged shoplifting incidents has been readmitted to bail despite garda fears he will re-offend.

The boy was told that under his new bail terms he has to be with his mother or an appropriate adult when he leaves his home.

Following his arrest on August 6, the teenager appeared before Judge John Lindsay at the Dublin Children’s Court the following day charged under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.
