Guide fled after pursuit by bus driver

A French tour guide took fright and fled the country after hearing a bus driver had travelled after her to Limerick in a row over a taxi fare.

In a case before the Employment Appeals Tribunal, the tribunal has ruled that bus driver, Stephen Coleman, was unfairly dismissed from Cork firm Glenferry Coaches and awarded him €5,000.

However, the tribunal found Mr Coleman very substantially contributed to the ending of his employment by going to Limerick and by his general conduct.
