City centre traders in Limerick yesterday lodged an objection to a planning application for a €100m shopping centre proposed for the Dublin Rd suburbs.

Belfast-based developer Suneil Sharma had submitted plans for the shopping centre at the unfinished Parkway Valley site, which is adjacent to the Parkway Shopping Centre.

Mr Sharma said Marks & Spencer would be the flagship anchor tenant at the proposed Parkway Mall, which would have a 72,000ft sq retail outlet.
