Love is in the air after Twitter helps Galway man find mystery woman

After Jamie Kelly, aged 24, from Galway, poured his heart out to friends about a mystery woman he met on a flight from Barcelona to Dublin last week, they launched a Twitter campaign to find the Canadian woman that he had fallen for in just a few hours.
Jamie, and Katie Moreau, 27, from Nova Scotia in Canada, hit it off on the flight and had intended talking some more after their flight landed but got separated after going through customs.
However, after a massive social media campaign, including Jamie going on national and international media, the pair are set to meet in Waterford today.
Speaking to Today FM, Katie said she was “flattered” that someone would go to such effort just to speak to her again.
“I was very flattered by it all. It’s a bit weird but I’m more flattered than anything,” she said.
“When he sat down, this good-looking man, I was very excited. We talked the whole time. We both like stand-up comedy, so we talked about that. So we hit it off.
“I was trying to go through the EU passport area. He pointed me over. I went for my luggage and I thought I should go back and look for him, so I looked around for a bit. But I didn’t want to look too desperate so I just kept on going.”
As for Jamie, while a little “awkward” about the attention, he told Katie live on air that he wouldn’t have gone to all this trouble if he didn’t want to see her again.
With the world’s media watching the first date, what could possibly go wrong?
