Ireland’s drugs watchdog is investigating at least two people based in this country who are believed to be selling or administering a "miracle" cure for serious conditions, which is in reality a potent bleach.

The Health Products Regulatory Authority said an “active investigation” is under way, after the Irish Examiner revealed a seminar promoting the internationally discredited “miracle mineral solution” is planned for Dublin this weekend.

As reported yesterday, the group behind the seminar — Genesis II Church — claims its product can “remove” cancer, autism, HIV, malaria and other serious illnesses.
