Dublin gardaí adopt lost terrier, name him Snoopy
Snoopy was found three days ago on O'Connell Street and although he has lost his owners, he won the hearts of Store Street gardaí. Little Snoopy will be going home with one very happy garda.
"No luck finding his owners. Garda from Store st fell in love with him & willing to give him a home! New name, SNOOPY."

The gardaí made use of their official Twitter page to appeal for the tiny terrier's owners to come forward and claim him. Typical online garda humour ensued, with puns and pleas a-plenty.

"Find my owner please. I've been in Store St. Garda Station for a day now. That's 7 days in dog years."
After 21 long dog days, it seems Snoopy will be locked up in the station no more and has become a fully fledged member of the @gardainfo family. Will he get his own official Twitter account?
