Cabinet reshuffle will be ‘significant’

A "significant" cabinet reshuffle will be announced tomorrow, according to the Finance Minister Michael Noonan, with Labour expected to promote three TDs and at least two promotions up for grabs in Fine Gael.

There’s likely to be a number of promotions from the back-benches with high-profile positions like the junior finance minister to be filled.

Sources from all sides said both Labour Party leader Joan Burton and Taoiseach Enda Kenny were keeping their cards very close to their chests.
