Committees at odds over ousted Rehab officials

Despite concern earlier this month the investigation had been “nobbled” after the committee on procedure and privileges sought more information on why the individuals should be forced to attend — the public accounts committee last night agreed to write again to the committee seeking permission for the meeting.
PAC chair John McGuinness told the Irish Examiner the PAC will contact the committee again to explain the need to compel Ms Kerins and Mr Flannery to attend as a series of unanswered questions relating to how public money has been spent “have been proven beyond doubt” to fall within the PAC’s remit.
